Quality sleep-a must

It is amazing how one of the very basic steps required to maintain good health-ensuring that we sleep for the minimum amount of time every day,is being ignored by most of us. Increasingly more number of people are taking steps to lead a healthier lifestyle.Variety of ways are followed by people towards this regard. Some hit the gym,some take to cycling, some others take up dieting-but then, almost all of them have to realize that the first step towards gaining fitness is to ensure that we sleep properly. Medical experts have proved through studies that proper sleep alone goes a long way towards improving the body’s immunity, reducing blood pressure and the risk of diabetes and heart attack. But, instead of ensuring proper sleep, our increasingly hectic lifestyle has led to a state where the number of hours we sleep reduces with age until we reach the retired life.Proper sleep doesn’t mean that you sleep very late and rise very late. You should ensure proper bed-time and rise with the sun. It is also important to maintain this routine over a sustained period of time. In this way, you can be satisfied that you have taken the first few steps towards gaining fitness.
