Prefer Fruits over Juices

Eating fruits should be preferred over fruit juice as juices often contain a high sugar content as well artificial preservatives which may not help your cause of reducing weight. On the other hand fruits are mostly water and contain natural sugars as well as dietary fibers which improve the bodies metabolism. Fruits are also excellent sources of vitamins and minerals and help to slow down the process of sugar absorption in the body.For example, with the intake of orange juice, you consume a large quantity of fructose, sucrose and glucose without having the benefits of fiber which is found in the white pulp of the fruit. The pulp also possess nutrients such as bioflavonoids which are useful for the body. Flavonoids and quercetin, other important nutrients are contained in the skin of an apple which may be absent in its juice. Additionally, the fruits will make you feel full for a longer time, causing you to eat less over all.
