Healthy food to children (snacks)

Proper nutrition is the key to leading a healthy, problem-free life. This can be achieved by feeding the children with proper nutritious and healthy foods which will help bring out a healthy individual in the child. Fruits: Serving fruits and letting the kids choose the fruits of their interest not only makes them happy, but also is very healthy. Fruits can be served as a whole, sliced or cut in wedges and halves. Usage of canned and preserved foods, frozen foods, dried fruit, etc usually need very little or no preparation. Vegetables: Vegetables like carrots, lettuce, tomato, etc are all healthy and provide daily vitamins and minerals that a child needs for growth. They can also be served on the side with hummus, salad dressing, salads and dips and wheat pitas. Pure fruit juices can be served but on a restricted level, i.e. only a specific amount per day. Healthy beverages and low-fat dairy products: Water, low-fat or fat free milk, puddings, yoghurt etc. must be included in the diet.
