Diabetes 2

Diabetes 2 is a condition where the body builds up a resistance to the insulin it has produced. This insulin is used to digest glucose in the blood which is turned to usable energy. With the absence of insulin, the body is unable to use this energy and the body cells end up starved leading to complications.It is important to treat diabetes 2 as soon as it is diagnosed. When it is left untreated t can cause heart failure and so on. Research has found that people who are obese and those that are ageing are at a larger risk of being diabetes 2 patients. The symptoms of diabetes 2 are similar to that of diabetes 1 and a diagnosis by a medical doctor should state clearly which type a patient has.In mild cases, diabetes 2 can be treated using regular exercise, a proper diet designed for the needs of diabetic and frequent monitoring of one’s blood sugar level to make sure that it remains constant. In severe cases, patients with diabetes 2 are prescribed medication which they take about twice a day depending on the doctor’s instructions. Some are even given insulin injections to constantly give themselves shots of insulin to maintain the required level .
